A guide based on monthly profit, as is usual in website trading. The adjustments are assumptions by inotoken. Always check proof of revenue and traffic yourself before buying.
How to use the calculator
- Enter the average monthly net profit over the last twelve months.
- Age, traffic source, revenue model and trend move the multiple up or down.
- A high time demand lowers the value, because the buyer has to put in or pay for that time.
Frequently asked questions
Why monthly profit rather than revenue?
Because buyers pay for earnings. A shop with high revenue and a thin margin can be worth less than a small website with high profit.
How do I prove traffic and revenue?
Ideally with read access to your analytics, search console and affiliate statements. Screenshots alone do not convince serious buyers.
Does it apply to domains without content?
No. Bare domains trade on name, length, extension and demand.
